Jimmie Mae Mikel Armstrong

Jimmie Mae Mikel Armstrong, 83 of Glencoe passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Aarsmith Mikel. She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Armstrong. She was also preceded in death by a daughter; Deborah Sue Armstrong and three sisters; Thelma King, Mattie Carter and Mary Vardayne. Jimmie was a cook at the Glencoe School. She is survived by her two sons; Charles Vernon Armstrong of Ravenna, OH and Dwayne Armstrong of Leitchfield, KY. One daughter; Janet Hutton of Glencoe. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Thursday morning at 11am. Burial will be in the Ghent Cemetery.
