Jim Karsner Murphy

James "Jim" Karsner Murphy, age 74, of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born January 26, 1947, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Lindsey Carr Murphy and Margaret Alice Karsner Murphy.  He was a retired carpenter and job site supervisor, doing commercial construction, and a member of the Monterey Baptist Church.

Jim is survived by his wife, Christina Rice Murphy; his daughters, Chastity Lane Clark Bunch and husband Josh of Clarksville, TN, Melinda Haydon Murphy Manning and husband Lowell of Lawrenceburg, and Lindsey Gail Murphy Dablow and husband Brian of Lawrenceburg; and his grandsons, Noah Landon Platt, Elijah Thomas Platt, and Connor Quinn Manning.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 11 am until Noon with services to follow at Noon at the Monterey Baptist Church.  Bro. Evertt Hawkins will officiate and memorial contributions may be made to Monterey Cemetery.
