Jim Lemaster

James Lindon "Jim" Lemaster, age 58, of the New Columbus community of Owen County, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Georgetown.

Born May 3, 1963, in Lexington, he was the son of the late James Edward Lemaster and Barbara Watson Lemaster who survives. Jim was a 1981 graduate of Owen County High School and a graduate of Kentucky State University. He also furthered his education at Lexington Community College. He was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to classic rock and jazz. He spent time with family and friends on the houseboat at Lake Cumberland. Jim loved all types of sports especially anything the UK Wildcats were playing! He will be remembered as an excellent caregiver to his parents.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, Barbara Lemaster; his sister Sarah (Tom) Livers, and his nephews, J.T. Livers, Andy Clayton Livers, and Nick Scott Livers.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 4 - 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.
