Jessie Sue Simpson

Ms. Jessie Sue Simpson, age 68, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Born February 25, 1946, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Jesse N. and Nora Thomas Ferebee Simpson and was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Simpson Wiggs. Jessie Sue was retired from the Kentucky State Police and had worked for many years at Hines McDonald Realty in Frankfort. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and enjoyed caring for her great-great niece and nephew on Mondays. Surviving are her sister, Dorothy Jean "DJ" Simpson of Frankfort; her nieces, Jane Lynn (Brent) Wiggs Brown of Warsaw and Dawsinda (Chuck) Wiggs Conliff of Cincinnati; great niece Nicole (John) Brown Deters of Verona; great nephews Matthew E. Brown of Florence and Christopher D. Brown of Warsaw; great-great niece Josey Deters; great-great nephew Jaggar Deters and extended family Howard and Nancy Wiggs of Owenton. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Louisville Road, Frankfort from 5-8pm on Friday, August 8th. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul at 11am Saturday with Retired KSP Chaplain, James Hodge presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church or Charity of Choice.
