Jerry Allen Souder

Jerry Allen Souder, 89, passed away on January 27, 2024 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was born in Owen County on January 13, 1935 the son of the late Edgar and Jessie Hill Dunavent Souder. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was a police officer with the Florence Police Department and Owenton City Police. He also worked at Square D and Schlumberger. Jerry was a avid fisherman, hunter, boater, and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his three children; Martin Allen Souder, Leslie Ann Ogle (Craig), Alyce Michelle Hill, five grandchildren; Megan Minner (Adam), Sarah Rogers (Keith), Benjamin Ogle (Rachel), Courtney Glenn, Logan Breyman-Hill, and seven great grandchildren.

The funeral is on Saturday, February 3 at 12:30 PM with visitation starting at 11:30 AM at New Funeral Home on Main Street. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Owen County Children's Fund.
