Jerry Wayne Prather

Jerry Wayne Prather, 69, passed away October 14, 2022 at U.C. Hospital. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Curtis William and Anna Lee Raisor Prather. He was also preceded by his wife Tammy Melford Prather, his brother Teddy Prather and son-in-law Nick Payton. Jerry was a farmer and also worked at Dorman. He enjoyed mechanic work, riding his motorcycle and country music. He is survived by his children, Sue Ann Payton, Jerry Monroe "LJ" (Sarah) Prather, Wanda Johnson and Joyce Ann Renfro, his grandchildren, Katie, Josh, Shelby, Jessica, Nick Jr., Nathaniel, Ray, Alicei and Makayla, great grandchildren, Michael, Oaklie, Colt and Noah. Also surviving are his siblings, Curtis "Frog" Prather, Diane "Jerry" Clifton and Penny (Donald) Hemingway. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 3 PM at the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
