Jerry Lusby

Jerry Lusby, age 75 of Owenton and formerly of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Gallatin Healthcare. Born March 6, 1938, in Owen County he was the son of the lateJohn Thomas Lusby, Sr. and was also preceded in death his sister, Juanita Lusby McPherron and his brother, John Thomas Lusby, Jr. Jerry lived a very full life, having worked in nursing, florist and grocery and retired from the Ky State library and Archives with 30 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the Oddfellows Lodge and was active in the Evergreen Baptist Church in Frankfort. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Lewis Lusby Keith; his sister, Carolyn Corbett of Owenton; two nephews, Tim and Josh Mason and four nieces, Kim and Sondra Corbett, Billie Jo Thompson and Leah Gail Montoure. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, January 3rd from 11am until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Jesse Bourne and Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
