Gerald Wayne Duvall, affectionately known as Jerry, passed away on August 14, 2025, in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Born on April 15, 1946, in Franklin County, Kentucky, Jerry was one of three sons born to the late J.C. and Glenna Bryant Duvall and was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Duvall.
As a retired truck driver, Jerry navigated the open roads, forming countless stories from his journeys. For a time, he also built communication towers, a testament to his versatility and hardworking nature. Jerry's fondest memories extended beyond his professional life; he was a talented photographer who constructed his own darkroom and worked at Frankfort Camera. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, often sitting on the porch or fishing at Elmer Davis Lake. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was known for his resourcefulness, often demonstrating that he could accomplish anything he set his mind to.
He is survived by his son, James Duvall, and his brother, Gary (Barbara) Duvall. Jerry also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In honor of Jerry's life, a memorial gathering will be held at the Main Street location of New Funeral Homes in Owenton, Kentucky, on August 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
