Jeffrey Allen Elliston, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 67 in Owenton, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 21, 1958, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Lee and Mary Evelyn Best Cooke.
He graduated from Owen County High School in 1976 and went on to have a successful career as a finishing supervisor at KY Sheridan, formerly Rand McNally. His professional life was marked by hard work and dedication, traits he also exhibited in his personal life.
Jeffrey married the love of his life, Patricia Brophy Elliston, on October 20, 1978. Together, they built a wonderful family that brought him immense joy. He was a proud father and a cherished grandfather. Jeffrey’s love for his family was unmatched; he could always be found cheering them on at the softball or baseball fields. A standout memory for many was when his granddaughter, Abigayle, hit a record home run that landed in the bed of his truck, with him sitting in it!
In addition to his family, Jeffrey was a man of faith and a devoted member of the Elk Lick Baptist Church. He was known for always being willing to help someone in need, creating a lasting impact on those around him. He also enjoyed hunting, finding peace and fulfillment in nature.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his children, Jeffrey (Carrie) Elliston and Kayla (Jeremy) Dempsey; his grandchildren, Abigayle Dempsey, William Elliston, and Porter Wayne Dempsey; his siblings, Mike Elliston and Laketa (Buddy) Ritchie; and several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends and extended family members.
