Jeffrey Arline Ayres

Jeffrey Arline Ayres, age 57, born on June 3, 1968, in Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away on February 19, 2026, in Owenton, Kentucky. He was a talented carpenter who dedicated many years of his life working for Rita's Furniture, where he assembled and delivered furniture. In addition to his work in carpentry, Jeffrey spent many years farming for his grandparents.

Jeffrey was a proud graduate of Owen County High School, and throughout his life, he could often be found using his hands to create. He had a remarkable ability to make something out of nothing and was known for being very handy. Jeffrey had a special love for his family and friends, and his home was always open to many animals in need.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Mary Robinson Arnold; his father, Donald (Sue) Ayres; his daughter, Sarah (Stanley) Patton; and his grandchildren, Carter, Caelyn, and Cooper Patton. He also leaves behind a host of extended family who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph Arnold, and his beloved grandparents, Atwood & Myra Ayres, and Arlin & Peggy Robinson.

Visitation will be held on February 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Funeral Homes, 248 W Seminary St, Owenton, KY 40359. The funeral service will take place the following day, February 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in Jeff's memory are suggested to Owen County Friends of Animals.
