Jeanette Florence Hinton Wainscott

Jeanette Florence Hinton Wainscott passed away October 29, 2015 at the Owenton Center, with family by her side. She was 81 years old. She was preceded in death by her mother, Flossie Lathrem; her father O.J. Hinton and her grandmother Nettie "Mammy" Layton. She retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and was a member of South Fork Baptist Church. As a Christian, she expressed her love for everyone. Among her greatest joys were music and singing. She is survived by her son, Dr. Barry (Susan) Wainscott of Louisville; her brothers, Billy (Joyce) Lathrem of Owenton and Bill Hinton of Lexington. Other surviving relatives include a nephew, Brian (Rita) Lathrem and an aunt, Ruth Estes and other family members and friends. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier will officiate the services. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Macular Degeneration Research.
