Jean Kaye Swigert Patton

Jean Kaye Swigert Patton, age 48, of Owenton passed away at her home surrounded by friends and family on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Born January 8, 1976, in Frankfort, KY she is the daughter of Robert Lee and Carolyn Stephenson Swigert who both survive. Jean Kaye was a 1994 graduate of Owen County High School and continued her education at Southern Ohio College where she received her associate degree in medical sciences. She was a long-time employee of Owen County Schools. Jean Kaye was a member of Dallasburg Baptist Church and a devoted friend to many.  She had an amazing sense of humor and never failed to make you laugh when you were in her presence.  In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, working puzzles, playing card games, and of course crocheting. She cherished spending time with those she loved and will also be remembered for having the best collection of salt and pepper shakers in the area.

Jean Kaye's presence will be missed by many, including her children, Amber (Matt) Smith, Jake Patton, and Kyle Patton; her parents, Robert Lee and Carolyn Swigert; her grandchildren, Lincoln, Jackson, and Kennedy; her brother, Robbie (Melanie) Swigert; nieces and nephews, Lita, Krissy, Richie, Gracie, and Wade; and her friends since childhood, Gayla Lewis, Tammy West, Valerie Goss, and Lisa Boling.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Swigert.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm at Dallasburg Baptist Church in the sanctuary.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with BJ Patton and Simon Peters officiating. In lieu of flowers, Jean Kaye requested donations be made to Beechwood Assembly of God Youth or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
