J.D. Turner

J.D. Turner, 78, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born August 11, 1930, in Jamestown, KY, he was the son of the late Winston and Agnes Pryor Turner. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Oscar and Bules Turner and his sister, Juanita Turner. Mr. Turner was a truck driver and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carpenter Turner; one son, Randy Michael Turner of Dunkirk, IN; four daughters, Theresa Diana Prince of Montpelier, IN, Dana Hildenbrandt of Montpelier, IN, Eileen Turner of Burlington; Ann Marie Hernandez of Owenton; one brother, James (Linda) Turner of Montpelier, IN; four sisters, Geneva (David) Dishman and Lorene “Polly” Dishman and of Montpelier, IN; Sharon Atkins of Decatur, IN and Irene Vanskyock of Muncie, IN; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Thursday, February 19th, from 10am - 2 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to funeral expense.
