Janet Sue Dees Edmondson

Janet Sue Dees Edmondson, 62, of Owenton passed away Monday June 16th at her home. Born April 23, 1946 in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Rice Dees and was preceded in death by her infant son, James David Edmondson. Ms. Edmondson was an administrative secretary for the Soil Conservation Office and was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her father, James Dees of Louisville; her two sons, David (Karen) Edmondson of Sparta and Jeff Edmondson of Glencoe; her daughter, Leenetta Edmondson Valerio of Wilder; one brother Jimmy Dees of Jeffersonville, KY; two sisters, Martha Ann Equevilley of Jeffersonville, KY and Mary Dees of Louisville. Seven grandchildren also survive, Mandi, Chris, Katie and Nicholas Edmondson, Ty and Brandon Carver and Maggie Valerio. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Thursday, June 19, from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Poplar Grove Building Fund.
