Jamie Jacobs

James W. "Jamie" Jacobs, age 73, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

Born May 5, 1950, in Grant County, he was the son of the late Blaine and Betty Lou Johnson Jacobs. Jamie attended Owenton First Baptist Church and retired from Owen Electric as a lineman with over 34 years of service.

He is survived by his wife whom he married on July 5, 2008, Sarah June Cobb Jacobs; his sons, Tim (Jennifer) Jacobs and Granville (Amber) Jacobs; step-sons, Shawn (Mary Helen) Smith and Chad Smith; siblings, Joe (Becky) Jacobs, Eddie (Amy) Jacobs, Orville Gibson, Oscar Jacobs, Dennis Jacobs, William Gibson, Nancy (Charlie) Marksberry, Rita Frazier, and Maurie Prather; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Cassidy. Tanner, Ty, Michael, Melody, Caroline; and great-grandchildren, Maisyn and Kollyns.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held at the Main Street location on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 1 pm. Visitation will begin at 11 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Owenton First Baptist Church.
