James Thurman Walker, Jr.

James Thurman Walker, Jr., age 75, of Owenton passed away at his home on January 19, 2020.

Born April 23, 1944, in Owen County, he was the son of Thurman and Ethel Bates Walker and was preceded in death by his great grandchildren, Brandi Smith and Paul S. Cox, III. James was a Navy Veteran and a retired roofer and farmer. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Sue Winans; his grandchildren, Sasha (Richard) Smith, Joanna McElroy and Megan Noel and his four great grandchildren, Emily, Brandon, Bradley and Braiden.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. There will be no services.
