James Edward Wainscott

James Edward "Jimmy" Wainscott, 79, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at the Owenton Manor. Born August 19, 1929, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Vernie and Laura Hughes Wainscott and was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Wainscott. James was a lifelong farmer and hauled water for 34 years. He was also a member of the El Bethel Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Dorothy Fitzgerald Wainscott; his son, Jimmy Dale Wainscott; his daughter Wanda Faye Gibson; his brother Shorty Wainscott all of Owenton; his sister Margaret Deatherage of Frankfort; three granddaughters, Angie Gibson, Dale Marie Anderson and Christina Wainscott; four grandsons, Andrew Gibson, Travis, Kelly and Chad Wainscott. Three great grandsons also survive, Dustin Gibson, Colton Hays and Dakota Anderson. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, February67th, from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday with Bro. Keith Miller and Bro. Jason Brown presiding. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
