James Scott "Slick" Smither

James Scott “Slick” Smither, 50, passed away Sunday March 21, 2010 at the New Horizons Medical Center. He was born in Owenton the son of the late Maurice J. and Dana Ray Webster Smither and was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Link. He was employed by the State of Kentucky Transportation Dept. and was a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church. He is survived by a son Kyle Smither of Owenton, a daughter, Lauren Smither of Owenton, a brother, Maurice Ray (Norma) Smither of Lexington, a sister, Kitty (Donn) Marston of Danville and his best friend and fiancé Tracy Osborne. The funeral will be on Wednesday March 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM and visitation on Tuesday from 4 to 8 at McDonald & New Funeral Home – Seminary St. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity or church of ones choice.
