James R. Perkins age 80, and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, August 19th at his home. Born April 21, 1932 he was the son of the late Stanley and Eura Perkins. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Franklin and Ralph Perkins and one Grandson, Lucas Mason as well as a great grandson: Tanner Bond. James worked in the insurance business for over 50 years and was a member of the Paint Lick Baptist Church. He is survived by five sons: Russel Perkins of Warsaw, Ricky Perkins (wife Cindy) of Owenton, John Perkins (wife Dana) of Versailles, Jamie Perkins (wife Connie) of Sparta and Matt Tekulve of Fredericksburg, TX; three daughters: Debbie Wash of Carrollton, Brenda Perkins of Cincinnati and Linda Bond of Sparta; three brothers: Robert Perkins of Florence, Charles Perkins of Sun City, Fl and Normal Perkins of Corinth, Ky; one sister: Rose Gunter of Sun City, Fl, his dear friend and companion Terry Hagedorn. Twenty-Two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 22nd from 4 until 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11am and will be held at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
