James Edward Preston

James Edward Preston, age 71, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Born October 13, 1948, in Shelby County he was the son of the late James Calvin and Emma Dale Masterson Preston.

Surviving are his children, Terry Preston, Robbie Preston, Anthony White, Glenn Rucker, Sammy Rucker and Loretta Bird; his siblings, Rose Payton, Alice McDonald, Hedy Smither, and David Preston. His long time best friend and partner, Della Helmburg and 14 grandchildren also survive.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A Life Celebration Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 3-6 pm at the Monterey Fire Department. A meal will be served at 5pm.
