James Carroll “J.C.” Malcomb, age 90, of Wheatley, passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his home. Born March 3, 1923, in Wheatley, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mattie Francis Stafford Malcomb and preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Ayres Malcomb, his brothers, George and Ralph Malcomb. J.C. was a farmer, owned and managed Malcomb Farm Supply, a Kentucky Colonel, and an honorary Commissioner of Agriculture. He was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church where he served as an elder and Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the Dallasburg F & AM Masonic Lodge #621 for over 62 years. Surviving are his daughter Nita Carol (Timothy) Burgener of Worthville; his brother, Harold Malcomb of Wheatley; his granddaughter, Carrie Richane Burgener and his best buddy and great granddaughter, Aya Kae Lynn Brown. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2-6pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday at the funeral home with Bro. Jim Woods presiding. Burial will be int eh Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Liberty Christian Church.
