James Hearn, Jr.

James Hearn, Jr., age 81, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his residence.

Born July 30, 1937 in Owen County, he was the son of the late Lucille Lee and James Samuel Hearn.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Ray Hearn.  James was a former tobacco farmer and worked maintenance at Turfway race Track.

Survivng are his children, Don Hearn, Randy Hearn, James Russell Hearn, Wanda Rose, Rita Hearn and Robin Gumz; eighteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and his brothers, Ben, Charles Russell, and Eddie Hearn.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 11 to Noon.  A graveside service will follow in the Napoleon Cemetery.
