James Alvin Grisham, 78 and a resident of New Liberty, Ky., passed away Friday, January 9th, at the St. Luke Hospital in Florence. Born October 1930, he was the son of the late Willie B. and Iva Mae Claxon Grisham. Alvin was a member of the Dallasburg Baptist Church and a farmer. He was also a Veteran having served his country in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. He is survived by his wife, Frances Kyle Grisham, one son: Michael J. Grisham of Owenton, one daughter: Karen Thompson of New Liberty, and one brother: Tommy Grisham also of New Liberty. One granddaughter survives along with two step grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, January 12th from 4 until 8pm at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin at 11am on Tuesday with Bro. Matt Dye officiating. Burial will be in the Wheatley Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Dallasburg Baptist Church Building Fund.
