James Edward Gayheart

James Edward Gayheart of Owenton, KY passed away Saturday, February 16th, at the age of 60. James was born on August 10th, 1958 in Hindman, KY to the late Sam and Herma (Watts) Gayheart.

He is survived by daughter, Rianna Gayheart; brothers and sisters, Forest (Esther) Gayheart, Charles (Arlene) Gayheart, Beckham (Dorothy) Gayheart, Philip Gayheart, Ronald (Avonelle) Gayheart, Gary (Nada) Gayheart, Christine Stevens, Patricia Gayheart, Tom (Linda) Gayheart, Bill Gayheart, Kelly Gayheart, Paul Gayheart, and Debbie Gayheart; numerous nieces and nephews; and chosen family, Shanna (Troy) Osborne, Mason Marsh, and Kaylan (Travis) Centers.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a brother, Bob (Mary) Gayheart; brother-in-law, Bill Stevens; and nephew, Jeff Moore.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends for a fish fry at Elk Lick Baptist Church in Owenton, KY on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, from 6:00-7:00 pm with a service to follow at 7 pm. A graveside service will be held at Green Gayheart Cemetery in Hindman, KY on Thursday, February 21st at 1:00 pm.
