James Allen Coyle

James Allen "Jimmy" Coyle departed this life on April 21, 2016. He was preceded by his father and mother, James and Mary (Neal) Coyle. Jimmy worked 30 years as the local service technician for Kentucky Utilities Company, farmed and most recently served as the Owen County Property Valuation Administrator. Youth sports were Jimmy's passion, especially baseball and softball. For 21 years he was actively involved in the Owen County Summer League. Jimmy served as a member of the league's Board of Directors, Commissioner of Leagues, umpired and coached or helped coach 27 different teams. He truly loved those kids. Jimmy is survived by his wife and best friend Jenny (Allnutt), son Steven, daughter Alison and fabulous grandson, Evan. He loved you all so much. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Sunday, April 24th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Jimmy asked that any memorial contributions be made to Owen County Parks and Recreation.
