James C Acree

James C. Acree, age 71, of Owenton, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born December 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Clifford and Mildred Cook Acree and was preceded in death by his son Terry Lynn Acree and his brother Donald Scott. James was a retired tobacco farmer who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was also a passionate gardener.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Burford Acree; his son, James William Acree; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Hope Colligan, Penny Anderson, Charlotte (Randy) Stephens and Rachel Sharp.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 10 - 11 am.  Memorial services will follow at 11 am with Bro. James Burford presiding.
