Jack C. Sullivan, 70, of Sparta, passed away Thursday night, February 2, 2012 at his home, after a long battle with cancer. Born January 9, 1942, he was the son of the late June Ross and Willie B. Sullivan. He was born in Post, Texas, Garza County and is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Sullivan, three sons, Dwight Sullivan of Cheyenne, WY; Daniel L. (Trish) Benton of Martinsburg, WV and Matthew W. (Missy) Benton of Hedgesville, WV; his daughter, Sheri (Jimmy) Smallfoot of Alliance, NE; three brothers, Bill R. (JoAnne) Sullivan of Boonville, MO; John D. (Jimmie Fay) Sullivan of Andrews, TX and B. Pat (Linda) Sullivan of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Jack was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Paul Sullivan. Jack was a Master Driller, with over 50 years experience. He drilled all over the world, including Iraq, Yemen, Saudi, Africa, Nova Scotia and all over the USA. He was a member in good standing of the National Ground Water Association. He was currently employed by Aaronco Comfort Air Inc. of Burlington and Lexington, KY as a geothermal driller and drilling instructor. An Irish Wake will be held to honor Jack's life on Thursday, February 16th at 4pm the their residence,1515 Stewart Lane, Sparta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
