Jack Greene

Jack Greene, 75, passed away Friday at the Owenton Manor. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Carvin C. and Anna May Smith Greene. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy, and a sister, Norma Jean Lucas. Jack drove a truck for McLean, worked for the State Highway Dept. and later for the county. He was a member of the Long Ridge Baptist Church and VFW Post 3119. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Margie Perkins Greene; three step sons, Randy(Tammy) and Ricky(Missy) Mason both of Owen Co. and Rodney(April) Mason of Georgetown; a sister-in-law, Diane Greene of Owen Co. and 8 grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, Aug. 16 from 11-2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Bro. Roger Alford presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Long Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
