Isabel House, 84, of Hide-A-Way Hills and formerly of Slatin Rd. in Owen County, passed away Saturday, May 1st at her home. Born November 28, 1925, in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of the late Walker and Clara Clifton Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond, son, Charles, four Grandchildren, Tony Smith, Ricky Ray and Shelly House and Boyd Lee Collins and a great-great-grandson Logan Christopher Collins. Isabel was a housewife and farmer and a member of the New Columbus United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Clara M. H. Burton, Doris Ann Smith and Terry Back all of Owenton and Linda Sue Collins of Stamping Ground, sons, Walker and James P. House both of Owenton, a sister, Mildred Acree of Owenton. 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Tuesday, May 4th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday with Bro. Jeff Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Bluegrass or New Columbus United Methodist Church.
