Irene S Webster

October 24, 1927 — January 15, 2024

Irene S. Webster, age 96, of Owenton, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at the home of her daughter.

Born October 24, 1927, in Scott County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Noah Bishop and Arvie McCurdy Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband Reuben Webster; her children, Roseanne Osborne, Tina Belle Clark, and Marty Clark; and her siblings, Edward, J.C., Dewey, and Roy Sharp, Wavie Vance, and Frances Watson. Irene was a graduate of Scott County High School and a homemaker.  She was a member for over 50 years at Harmony Baptist Church and served for more than 40 of those years as the treasurer. She enjoyed working on her farm, raising a garden, reading, and quilting.

She will be missed by her children, Linda (Rob) Parker and Richard (Debra) Clark; her son-in-law, Jesse Osborne; her sister, Hazel Mefford; grandchildren, Tina (John) Geary, Tracy (Jerry) Angel, Jesse (Jamie) Osborne, Jr., Tabitha Clark, Rhonda (Aaron) Henley, Christopher (Lara) Parker, and Justin (Victoria) Parker; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 10 am until Noon.  Funeral services will follow at Noon with Bro. Bob Miller presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Baptist Church or Bluegrass Care Navigator Hospice.
