Howard Bennie Hearn

Howard Bennie Hearn, age 70 of Sanders, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Norton-Audubon Hospital in Louisville. Born May 24, 1946, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Bennie and Lorena Lee Hearn and preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Mae Lutz, Mariam Jo Hearn and Karen Lorena Hearn. Howard was a member of the Sanders Baptist church and employed at Dyke Industries, where he made windows and doors, for over 48 years. He was a devout Cincinnati Reds Baseball fan and enjoyed family poker games. Surviving are his wife, Tammie Cammack Hearn; his children, Jennifer Dickow, Lisa Hearn and Dustin Scroggins; his siblings, William Thomas, Richard Wayne, Johnny James, Bobby Allen and Glenn Ray Hearn and Brenda Sue Goodman, Nancy Carol Scrogham and Phyllis Jean Rose. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Ashely & Wesley McDonald, Steven & Shawn Hemmingway and Jeffrey Dickow and five great grandchildren. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday with Bro. Hardin Lowe presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Sanders Macedonia Baptist Church or Carrollton Christian Church.
