Horace Ray Luther

Horace Ray Luther, 74, of Monterey, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at the New Horizons Medical Center. Born May 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Martin and Ola Hammond Luther and was preceded in death by his sisters, Christine McDonald and Marie Baker. Horace Ray was retired from Fruit of the Loom and a member of the North Frankfort Baptist Church. He also enjoyed woodworking in his retirement. He is survived by his wife, whom he married on December 20, 197, Shirley Wright Luther; two sons, Martin Ray (Joan) Luther and Kevin Luther and a grandson, Alex Luther all of Monterey. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 3-8pm. Visitation will also be held at the North Frankfort Baptist Church on Monday, October 4th beginning at 10am. Funeral services will be held 1pm at the church. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery with Bro. David Smith presiding.
