Hilda L. Maes

Hilda L. Maes, age 95, of the Elk Lake community passed away on October 28, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center in Edgewood, KY.

Hilda was one of three children born to the late William and Emma Rosenthal Ruehl in the Mumford Heights community of Cincinnati, OH. She was the widow of Lee Maes, Jr., and was also preceded in death by her two brothers. Hilda loved living at Elk Lake and, in her younger years, enjoyed water skiing, golfing, and playing softball. She was a passionate sports fan who loved cheering on both the University of Kentucky and the University of Cincinnati in basketball.

Hilda will be deeply missed by her son, Donald (Marlene) Maes, and her grandson, Adam Maes.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no services.
