Herbert C Taylor

Herbert C. Taylor, age 74, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.

Born March 1, 1947, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Genella Mae Olds Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his longtime partner, Sarah Sammons; and his siblings, Billy Taylor and Betty Wilson. Herbert was a lifelong farmer who loved his family immensely.

He is survived by his children, Debbie (Darrell) Vance, Nancy (Stephen Castle) Stidham, Charles (Kim) Sammons, and Tim (Tammy) Sammons; four grandchildren, Kimberly Vance, Natasha Fedrick, Cory Stidham, and Macey Stidham; five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Abigail, Delina, Carson, and Brooklyn; and his sister, Patsy Spurlock.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 4 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery. We respectfully request that masks be worn for all services.
