Henry Lloyd Wainscott

Henry Lloyd Wainscott, 87, of Huntsville, AL and formerly of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Born September 24, 1921, in Owen Co, he was the son of the late Elmer and Kate Shupert Wainscott and was preceded in death by his grandson Greg Wainscott and sister, Mildred Smith and Lois Watkins. Henry was a WWII Army veteran where he served as a medic. He was also an upholsterer and a member of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his son Elmer “Roy” Wainscott of Lewisburg, TN; three daughters, Nancy Wainscott Edwards of Gurley, AL, Merirae Wainscott Jackson of Lewisburg, TN and Wanda Wainscott Williams of Pulaski, TN; two sisters, Jessie Rae O’Leary of Cincinnati, OH and Elizabeth Dunavent of Owenton. Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive. Pall bearers will be: Elmer “Roy” Wainscott, John Jackson, Kenny Edwards, David Watkins, Jason Fitzwater, Jimmy Sutherland and Chase Perkins. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Edwards, Bud Dunavent and Jack O’Leary.
