Henry Carter Smith

Henry Carter Smith, 67, of Owenton, passed on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026.

Born on September 14th, 1959, in Owenton, Henry was the son of David and Leonia Perry Smith. He is also preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Linda Raisor Smith, who passed shortly before him.

Henry spent the majority of his career in maintenance, showcasing his knack for fixing things. In his free time, he loved to visit Belterra and was known for going to the grocery on a daily basis, especially Walmart. Most of all, he loved his late wife and cherished the many years they spent together.

He is deeply missed by his grandchildren: Kelly Marie, Linda Sue, Cody, Beckie, and Billy; his sister in law, Peggy Deese; and his brother, Ray Smith. He is preceded in death by his sister, Loretta Byrd.

Visitation will be held at the Seminary Street location on Monday, October 5th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Henry will be laid to rest in the Monterey Cemetery with Pastor Rob Ginter officiating.
