Helen Marie Stewart

Helen Marie Stewart, born on September 24, 1935, in Jonesville, Kentucky, passed away on November 9, 2025. She was a beloved figure in her community and will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her career.

Helen was the co-owner alongside her husband, Olen "Dick" Stewart at Kindoll and Riley, and served as the bookkeeper. She also worked at Dairy Queen and McDonald's, where she took pride in serving hundreds of customers.

A proud graduate of Owen County High School in 1952, Helen was known for her vibrant spirit. She had a passion for collecting salt and pepper shakers and enjoyed working on puzzles during her leisure time. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother, a role she cherished deeply.

Helen is survived by her son, Lonnie Stewart, and her granddaughter, Gabi Stewart. She joins her parents, John W. Maddox and Katherine Smith, her twin sister, Hilda Mae Smith, and her husband, Olen "Dick" Stewart, who have all preceded her in death.

Memorial gatherings and services will be held on November 14, 2025, at New Funeral Homes in Owenton, Kentucky. The memorial gathering will start at 4:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 6:00 PM.

Helen Marie Stewart's warmth and kindness will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
