Helen Marie King

Helen Marie King, 73, of Carroll County, KY, died on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville.

She was born December 9, 1948, in Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas Chadwell and Rosie Mae Tharp Chadwell. She was of Baptist faith. She loved a fresh pot of coffee spent playing cards. Helen was overjoyed talking on the phone with her great granddaughter, Hadlee.  She also enjoyed spending time with her dear friend Monica.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Rosie (Scott) Mathews; a son Orien Daniel (Elizabeth) Crawford; siblings, Tommy, Leonard (Cindy), Sammy, Ronnie (Lorrie), Donnie, Allen (Shannon) Chadwell, Judy Carter, and Peggy Chadwell; her grandchildren, Levi (Kayla), Adam (Amber), Adrianna (Will), Eric (Morgan), Shawn, Megan (Dustin), Sydney (Patrick), Emily, Kaylen, Maleah, Lariah, Kawyer, Isaac, Noah, Natalie, Ian, Raelynn, Catie, Bailey, and Charlie; and great-grandchildren, Knox, Adam Lee, Rose, JJ, Honor, Kendal, Kamdyn, Hadlee, Halix, Emersyn, Tobin, and Everleigh.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronnie King, and her sister, Phyllis Smith.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location for a Memorial Gathering from Noon - 2 pm, on Saturday, June 25, 2022.  A graveside service will follow, in Mt. Minish Cemetery, with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.
