Helen Beckham Frazier

On September 25, 2020, Helen Beckham Frazier passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 90.

Helen was a lifelong Owenton resident, but resided in Richmond, KY for several years. She was a homemaker and a mother of eight children. She worked tirelessly to provide for her children. She was a devoted member of West Side Christian Church in Richmond. Helen was born May 2, 1930, in the Greenup community of Owen County, to the late Charles W. and Myrtle Hammond Beckham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Frazier, her only son, Jeffrey Kemper and her siblings, Larry Beckham, Jerry Beckham and Alice Howard.

She will be missed by her seven daughters, Diane (Jimmie) Griffin of Dry Ridge, Judy (Rodney) Gaines of Colorado, Bonnie (Paul) Halbert of Jonesville, Karen Kemper of Richmond, Kathy (Tom) Jolley of Alaska, Dorothy (Steve) Gibbs of Richmond and Patricia (Jerry) Ellis of Owenton; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and her brothers, Charles "June" Beckham of Owenton, Don Beckham of Texas and Leroy Beckham of Owenton.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 4 - 8 pm. This will be a pass-through visitation with social distancing and masks required. Graveside funeral services will be held at on Wednesday at 1pm with Pastor, Sean Plank presiding. Please meet at the funeral home at 12;45pm to go in procession to the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Owenton Center Activities Fund.
