Harry Curtis Dews

Mr. Harry Curtis Dews, age 85, of Hanover, IN, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Thornton Terrace in Hanover. Born September 28, 1929 in Owenton, KY he was the son of the late June and Lucille Mason Dews and was the widower of Virginia Welch Dews. Harry was the owner of the first cable TV company in Indiana, the owner of Sav Moor Stores and also owned Dews Real Estate. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are his children, Karen (Mike) Clark, Kathy (Richard) Wilking, Bradley (Linda) Dews and Bryan (Shelly) Dews. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, August 28th from 11:30am until 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our hospice of South Central Indiana.
