Harold M. Dickerson, 89 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17th, at his home. Born April of 1919, he was the son of the late Alva and Mary Alice Satchwell Dickerson. Harold was also preceded by his wife Ruth Taylor, and mother of his children, Dorothy Mae Hopper Dickerson. Harold was a member of the Paint Lick Baptist Church and retired employee of Newport Steel. He is survived by three sons: Alva Lewis Dickerson, James Robert Dickerson, and Gregory Allen Dickerson; one daughter: Barbara Ann Dickerson; and two sisters: Elaine Sale and Betty Samuel. Ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21st, from 4 until 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at the Paint Lick Baptist Church on Thursday at 11am. Rev. Kenny Hopper and Rev. Denny French will be officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Paint Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Paint Lick Baptist Church.
