Gregory Hammond

Gregory Hammond, age 62, of Dry Ridge, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Grant County.

Born August 1, 1960, in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Delbert Burl and Ida Kathryn Baker Hammond. Greg was a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed refurbishing and selling equipment and vehicles. He was a huge motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially in Sturgis. He loved his friends and family deeply and never missed an opportunity to entertain them with a story or prank. Greg enjoyed old rock and country music and will be remembered for never complaining no matter his health challenges.

Greg will be missed by his children, Austin Lewis, Ashlee Lewis, and Melinda Morgan as well as a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 1 - 3 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 3 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are encouraged for funeral expenses.
