Glenda Carole Brown, 57 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, October 9th, at the St. Luke Hospital in Florence. Carole was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church and served Gallatin County as Property Valuation Administrator. She was also the first female to be elected Sheriff in the State of Kentucky having served in Gallatin County. Carole was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Walters, and is survived by her parents; Virgil and Mayme Walters, her husband, Nelson Brown, two step daughters; April Brown and Sarah Moody-Richardson, one sister, Brenda Raisor, two nieces: Leslee Miles and Lauren Raisor; and one nephew: Curt Sharon. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th, from 10am until 3pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin at 3pm with Bro. Darrell Maines officiating. Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warsaw United Methodist Church.
