Glenda Sue Allnutt

Glenda Sue Allnutt, age 67, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Gallatin Nursing & Rehab in Warsaw.

Born January 4, 1954, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Foster Renfro and Nellie Skirvin Gibson, who survives. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher Lloyd Allnutt. Glenda was a homemaker and a member of Owenton First Baptist Church.  She loved being MeMe to her grandkids and watching all of their sporting events and school activities. She enjoyed shopping, knitting, and traveling to Gatlinburg. She had a wicked sense of humor and an infectious laugh that made everyone feel welcome around her.  She will be remembered for making her home open to her children's friends, always agreeing to overnights, and being a guiding force to many of those kids.

She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Don Allnutt; her children, Laura (Anthony) Hollingsworth, Don (Cara) Allnutt, Jr., and Rebecca (Chris) Mills; her grandchildren, Kate, Cory, Gracie, Willow, Christopher, Thomas, Morgan, Trip, Caleb, Ella, and Logan.  She is also survived by her brothers, Rex Gibson and Steve Gibson.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 11 AM - 2 PM for a pass-thru visitation. Masks are required for those who have not been vaccinated, and social distancing is encouraged. Funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Rex Gibson and Bro. Brad Banks presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Parks Rec Football program or the Owen County Children's Fund. Live stream available here.
