Gladys L. Schaeffer

Gladys L. Schaeffer, 84, of Verona passed away Thursday January 23 2014 at her residence. She was the widow of Jimmie Schaeffer and the daughter of the late Marvin B. and Alice Catherine Craigmyle Rabourn. She was also preceded by her siblings L.G. Rabourn, Jewell Kidwell and Thelma Myers and an infant son Jim Andy. Gladys worked at the Carrollton furniture factory and other factories and was a member of the English Christian Church. She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy Schaeffer of Waddy, Cindy Burgett of Glencoe, JoAnn Cook of Arizona and Becky Burgett of Verona, two brothers, James R. Rabourn of Bedford and Jerry David Rabourn of Turners Station and one sister, Grace E. May of Napoleon OH. Six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be on Monday January 27 from 11am til 2pm with the funeral service at 2pm at McDonald & New Funeral Home - Main St. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation KY-WV Chapter 1941 Bishops Lane Ste. 108 Louisville, KY 40218.
