Mrs. Gladys E. Fitzgerald, age 91, entered into her Heavenly home on Saturday, August 29, 2020, with her family by her side.
Born February 10, 1929, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Eunice Johnson Criswell. She was the loving widow of Billy Starmount Fitzgerald. Her two sons, Franky and Larry Fitzgerald preceded her in death, as well as her siblings, Buster and Don Criswell, Elois Yancey, Mary Dawson, Pearl Ashcraft, and Louann Wainscott.
Gladys loved the Lord and attending church. She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed singing, dancing, playing cards, working puzzles, exercising, and most of all laughing. She was often called 'The Traveling Mawmaw', as she would frequently visit and spend the night with her children and her beloved sister, Patsy.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Melody (Tommy) Lyons, and Charity (Larry) Lowrance; her sons, Ricky Fitzgerald, Billy Scott Fitzgerald, and Derek (Kim) Fitzgerald; her sister, Patsy Gibson; her twenty-one grandchildren and her thirty-one great-grandchildren.
