Gerald Ray Stamper

Gerald Ray Stamper, age 64, of Owenton, passed away on July 15, 2024, at St. Hospice Care Center in Edgewood. Born on December 1, 1959, he was the beloved son of Robert "Bob" Stamper and Emma Hearne Stamper. Gerald was preceded in death by his son, J.R. Stamper, and his brother, Jack Stamper.

Gerald had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed being on the road, fishing, and hunting. His passion for driving was evident in his career as a dump truck driver, and he also found great joy in riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Chandler Stamper, and his children, James Robert (Amy) Stamper and Jennie (Steven) Lengel. Gerald was a proud grandfather to Katelyn, Bryce, Brayden, Daisy, Raelynn, and James "Bubby," and a great-grandfather to Krew and Tylee. He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Herron and Charlene Lowe.

New Funeral Homes are entrusted with services. Visitation will be held at the Seminary Street location on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., officiated by Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier. Burial will take place at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
