Gerald Lee "Jerry" Jones

Gerald Lee "Jerry" Jones, 75, passed away Tuesday Oct. 10, 2023 in Owenton. He was born in Frankfort the son of the late D. B. and Dora Bishop Jones. He was also preceded by his wife Mickie June Juett Jones. Jerry was the owner of Bishop Feed Store for 40 years and also farmed during that time raising tobacco and hogs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and pulling tractors. He also loved riding horses. He especially enjoyed all the times spent at the feed store telling stories and solving the world's problems with the many who came. Surviving are his four children, Casey (Vickie) Jones, Kevin (Krystal) Jones, Keith (Michelle) Jones and Kim (Tim) Shannon, one brother, Ronnie (Lana) Jones, one sister, Cindy Jones(Karen), nine grandchildren, Gavin, Dylan, Ethan, Kylie, Kamden, Piper, Cash, Mickie and Liam. Visitation is Sunday Oct. 15 from 4 to 8 at the Main St. location of New Funeral Home. The funeral is on Monday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the charity or church of one's choice.
