Georgia Dews Locker

Georgia A. Dews Locker, age 83, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Owenton Healthcare.

Born December 29, 1941, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle Gaines Dews. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles "Wayne" Locker, and her brother, June Gayle Dews. Georgia was a member of New Columbus Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Georgia will be missed by her daughter, Sharon Locker Hopkins; her brothers, Thomas Dews, Larry Dews, Jr., and Clarence Wayne Dews; her grandson, Johnny Ray Hopkins, Jr; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends for visitation at the Main Street location on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from Noon to 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Forrest Hunter presiding.  Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
