Georganne Jackson Sams

Georganne Jackson Sams, age 75, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born October 30, 1935, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Audie Lee and Mary Louise Suter Jackson. Mrs. Sams was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Frankfort and retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Department of Revenue. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Hansford Sams; her daughter, Mary Leslie Terrell Marston; three grandchildren, Mary Ashlee Marston, Amy Marie Marston and Kellee Dee Marston and one great grandson Joseph Brice Marston all of Frankfort. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, July 5th, from Noon to 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Everett Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Kidney Association
